What account deletion does
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. ReflectHub keeps the work you contributed — comments, time entries, documents, and pages — but removes you from it: your profile is anonymized, your access is revoked, and your sign-in is removed. You can only delete your own account, and only when you are not the sole owner of a company (see Before you can delete).
What happens to your data
Kept (shown as "Deleted User"):
- Comments, worklogs and time entries, documents, pages, and other records you created — attributed to "Deleted User" so project history stays complete.
- API keys and invitations you set up — these belong to the company, not to you, so the company keeps using them.
Removed or anonymized:
- Your name and personal details (email, phone, avatar, address, bio) are cleared.
- Your company and project memberships, including any role as a company's contact person.
- Your sign-in identity, so you are removed from every company and project and signed out on all devices.
Before you can delete
ReflectHub is a shared, multi-company workspace. To avoid leaving a company without an owner or with unmanaged billing, a few conditions must be met before you can delete your account. The Delete account section checks these for you and lists anything outstanding, each with a link to fix it. The Delete my account button stays disabled until everything is resolved.
Conditions you must resolve
- You're the only owner of a company. Make another member an owner first: open that company's Settings → Roles, assign the Owner role to a colleague, then return to your account. Each blocking company is listed with a Manage owners link.
- A company you solely own has an active subscription. Cancel the subscription or transfer ownership to another owner before deleting your account.
Things to be aware of (these won't block you)
- You co-own a company. Deleting your account removes you as an owner; the company keeps its remaining owner(s). These appear as warnings in the confirmation dialog so you can continue knowingly.
Delete your account
- Open Account and select the Security tab.
- Scroll to Delete account. If anything prevents deletion, it's listed here with a link to resolve it — fix those first.
- Select Delete my account.
- Review any warnings shown in the dialog (for example, companies you co-own).
- Type your email address to confirm you intend to delete the account.
- Select Delete account. You're signed out everywhere and returned to the sign-in screen.
Signing up again later
If you sign up again with the same email address, you start as a brand-new user with an empty account. Your previous profile, company memberships, and history are not restored — and your past contributions remain attributed to "Deleted User".
