Project Plans and Revisions

Store project drawings and models, track file revisions, and manage their review status.

Where to find it

Inside a project → Documents & Files → Plans

What Plans is for

Plans is the project's controlled register for drawings and models. Use it to keep file versions, drawing metadata, review status, links, and discussion together. A plan is not a task: link the plan to a task when a drawing or model is needed to complete that work.

Find and organise plans

  • Table – review the code, name, type, status, file-version count, owner, tags, and last update.
  • Type filter and search by code or name.
  • New plan (add a plan) and Export index (export the register).

Review a plan and its versions

  • Files panel – every file for the plan with its version (e.g. v1) and size; Add

to upload a new version.

  • Viewer – an in-browser 3D/model viewer with controls (layers, fullscreen, zoom,

show/hide), showing model stats (elements, meshes, triangles) for IFC files.

  • Details panel – status, owner, category, discipline, plan number, revision, scale, tags, and description.
  • Linked / Comments tabs – connect the plan to tasks and discuss it.
  • Copy link and Download latest (top right).

Add and progress a plan

  1. Select New plan, enter a consistent code and name, and upload the initial file.
  2. Add the category, discipline, drawing number, revision, scale, owner, and tags needed by your team.
  3. Review supported files in the browser and use comments to record feedback.
  4. Upload replacements with Add so the earlier versions remain in the history.
  5. Move the status from draft or review to approved according to your process.
  6. Link the plan to the tasks that depend on it.
